Hello everyone,

We started off by having a great breakfast and taking a few more pictures. We packed our little bags and made our way to the skis. We left the hotel and took a 30 minute ride to the boat ramp. When we arrived, Captain Bob Was there with the truck and the trailer and we loaded them up relatively quickly.  We got on the road and drove 4 hours to drop off Captain Bob.

Overall, this trip was a learning experience. We had a ton of fun but learned a ton of great things and made a lot of new friends. We cant thank everyone enough for all the things that they have done for us on the way. If for some reason or another I didnt mention someone, Im sorry. But everyone that helped made a huge difference for us on this trip. Now I’ve been asked a few times now, “Would you do it again?” Well, yes I would, but i would need about 2 and a half months because we want to be able to relax a few days at the places that we stay. Thank you for following us on our trip. It means alot to all of us that we had tons of support along the way…

7/21: Today we left for Big Pine key. We only had about 90 miles to travel and we expected it to take something like 3 and a half hours. But of course nothing went as planned and i believe it took us something like 6 hours to get there, but the ride was very nice other then us having to hop over every ten minutes and clear out the jet intake because it was clogged with a bunch of seaweed and stuff. We also accidentally passed the canale for Captain Bobs house and went all the way around Big Pine Key. We made it to Bob’s around 6 and went to No name pub for dinner that night. I had wings and some really good chili. Tomorrow we would go with what the day brought us because it was supposed to rain on and off.

7/22: Today we made the best of the day and messed around with the key deer and went fishing. I was actually able to get the key deer up on its hind legs if i had a piece of Fruit in my hand:

We just hung out today around the house other than that but we had a ton of fun. Captain Bob made dinner for us that was really good and after that we called it a night.

7/23:

Today we decided that we would make the last 30 mile push to Key West.  We met up with the Roller’s and hung out on the beach for a half hour and let the kids ride around on the skis. We were watching a storm roll in and decided that it was time to boogie and make the push. We rode through about 3 feet of water for an hour and had to hop over multiple times to clear out the intake grates. After a little more riding, we finally made it to key west and managed to throw dads ipad to someone on shore to take a picture of us. But, when we got the ipad back, somehow water got in to it and it fried the ipad.

About 15-20 minutes later we were at our dock and were already unloading our skis. We got settled in at the room took showers and went out to watch the sunset and all of the street performers. We then had a great dinner and then relaxed for the rest of the night. Tomorrow we will bring the skis to the boat ramp and lift them out and get on the road.

Over and Out.

Hey all,

Today we left Palm Beach and made our way to the keys. Our destination was Jewfish creek somewhere in the keys and meet up with Captain Bob. We went out front today for a beautiful ride and then cut behind the keys to make our way to Jewfish creek. We payed something along the line of 6.15 a gallon today for gas but we only had to fill up once so that was a positive. We made it to Jewfish creek at around 4:45 and got settled into our room around 6. We all got showers and then went to a tiki bar for dinner and had lots of good food like wings and Gorgonzola stuffed fillets. They were delicious.

Tomorrow we will make it to big pine key and relax for a few days.

Over and Out.

Hey everybody,

Today we went to the waterpark and went on a ton of fun slides and road the lazy river. Matt and I also did a few of the balance beam obstacles and completed them all. We went with Mr. Kelley and his daughter, and his brother and kid. We all ate lunch together and then went back to the house and Dad Matt and I went to church. We then came back to the house and a steak dinner was awaiting us. It was great! Tomorrow we’re leaving the Kelley’s and making our way to meet up with captain Bob in the Keys.

Hey all,

Today was our first full day of staying at the Kelley’s. We took the skis out today and went diving in some clear water in shore and a little bit off shore. We saw some neat fish and we really got put to the test swimming against the current to get back to our skis. We had to swim across a channel past boats and other watercraft to make it back.

Later that night we went out to dinner at the Kelley’s friends restaurant, and let me tell you it was probably one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. The fish dip was unbelievable.

Lets have another good day tomorrow.

Hola,

We left melbourne this morning at 8:30 and we are going to Palm Beach to meet up with the Kelley’s and stay at their house. The ride today was awesome. It was calm all day and there was really nothing bad to complain about. We met a lady named Olive that was out on her kayak today. I saw her waving and thought she needed help so we went over and she said she was alright but she thought that we were so cool. We thanked her and made it on our way to Palm Beach. When we got to the dock Mr. Kelley picked us up and we went back to their house. Mrs. Kelley had a huge dinner waiting for us of spaghetti and meatballs. It was delicious. We were so happy to have a home cooked meal. Thanks Mr and Mrs Kelley!

Hello all,

Today we left Daytona Beach and our destination for the day was going to be Palm Beach but we ran out of running time. We got held up in a Bar somewhere in Florida during a freak thunderstorm. We had something to drink and then moved on when the sky looked like it was clear. Now it wasnt very clear when we left and a little farther down the river we found this out haha. We then went 16 miles to the closest marina and made it to Melbourne Florida. We got a hotel and then  went to a great cuban restaurant. It was out of this world. We had a good day overall.

Hola everyone,

Today was probably our best day overall of riding. We had a pretty flat day throughout the entire ride and we never really got beat up at all. We went out front for about six miles but we ducked in just because we didnt feel like testing the ocean out any longer then we had too. Once we cut it, we accidentally cut into restricted military waters and had the Navy guards in front of us in about 10 seconds. We were told to stay 380 ft or more away from the jetty that enclosed the entire navy base that held all of the new naval ships. We made it to Daytona beach at a relatively good time today but we only covered about 95 miles total. Today was an overall great day and hopefully we can cut outside in the ocean tomorrow for some smooth riding.

Hey all,

Yesterday was pretty uneventful. We left Savannah at 7:40 and continued riding. We had to refuel twice during the day today. I got stuck on a shoal and that would be the first time i actually got stuck by myself. It took us about 15 minutes to get me off the shoal and was one heck of a workout. Matt came over to help me out and i wouldnt have been able to do it without him. Soon thereafter we made it to Fernandina Beach and we stayed at hampton right next to the water. We went out for pizza at a place called Arte’s and it was excellent. Im ready for another day of riding tomorrow.

Hello everyone,

Yesterday was such a nice day. We left Charleston South Carolina at 12:10 and made it to the Westin in Savannah  Georgia at 6:30. We had a beautiful ride outside in the ocean because it was flat calm for almost the entire ride. At Hilton head island which is about a 30 minute ride to Savannah, we had to cut inside because the ocean started to kick back up and was making for a bumpy ride. We will be spending tonight and tomorrow in Savannah and then we will leave for somewhere along the Florida coast on monday morning.

Over and Out.
